This scheme aims to enhance the trainee's skills and career prospects through a combination of practical experience and structured training organised by Jobsplus. Applying for the scheme does not guarantee a placement. Jobsplus will issue an agreement only after a successful matching process. Backdated agreements are not accepted. Applicants may be placed with a previous employer if they were not made redundant, the traineeship is for a different role, and at least 24 months have passed since the end of the prior employment. At the time of application, prospective trainees must have completed compulsory education, be up to 65 years of age, and not currently employed. Additionally, the trainee must not have previously participated in the Traineeship Scheme under the ESF+.01.195 Training for Employment Project. The duration of the traineeship is 320 hours over 14 weeks which includes 50 hours of mandatory off-the-job training, and the remuneration paid to the Trainee is based on the selected occupation. Throughout the duration of the scheme, trainees are monitored, and a feedback and evaluation process is in place to assess their performance and progress. Both the Trainee and the Training Service Provider have specific responsibilities to ensure a successful placement. By participating in this scheme, Trainees commit to developing their professional abilities, completing the off-the-job training and contributing positively to their work environment.
